Your Mission
The mission of the Product Development / Mechanical Engineer is to take the pain points of our customers and convert them into manufacturable solutions that can be marketed on an international scale. A Product Development / Mechanical Engineer should have the ability to understand what our customer values and be able to work with manufacturing engineers to bring these products to life.
The Role
As a Product Development / Mechanical Engineer with HEXA, you will have the opportunity to research, design, and validate new products. You will also have the opportunity to lead project teams, interact with our customers, and lead manufacturing improvements.
Develop new products from concept to final launch
- Generate 3D models and detail part designs to support prototype builds
- Perform modeling, simulation and calculation of products and technologies under development
- Assist in the assembly, test, and trouble-shooting of new products
- Prepare project files, records, and technical reports from the development and testing of products in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in brain storming sessions and provide inventive ideas, concepts, and suggestions
- Visit customer locations and/or job sites to provide a consultative service for customized containment solutions
- Develop test requirements if not previously specified
- Assist in the development of new methods for the improvement of current product reliability and procedures
Skills and Experience
- Creative and inventive mind, the ability to think outside the box
- Proficiency in Solidworks
- Hands on mechanical abilities
- Solid understanding of manufacturing technologies
- Strong understanding of structural physics
- General computer literacy
- Good written and oral communication, organization and interpersonal skills
- A will to learn and develop with the company and customer needs
- Able to operate effectively and efficiently with minimum supervision
- Clean driving record
- Education Requirements : Bachelors in Engineering or Manufacturing Technology
